WhatsApp is a lovely way to stay connected with your audience and you can bring it straight into FEA Create with a simple add on. The WhatsApp feature costs $29.99 per month, and once it is switched on you can start setting everything up in just a few moments.
There is also a small messaging cost. WhatsApp uses conversation credits and $10 usually covers around 130 conversations. You can keep an eye on everything in Settings > Billing.
To get started, go to FEA Create > Settings > WhatsApp and subscribe. Once it is active you will be able to register your number.
You can either buy a brand new number inside FEA Create or connect your existing WhatsApp Business account.
There are two ways to connect a number. By buying a phone number in FEA Create or using your existing WhatsApp Business account.
Method 1: Connect a New WhatsApp Business Number
Step 1: Buy a LeadConnector Phone Number
Step 2: Start the Setup
Head to Settings > WhatsApp > Set Up a New WhatsApp Number to begin the setup.
Step 3: Continue with Facebook
Click Continue with Facebook.
Step 4: Begin the Integration
Click Get Started when you are ready to move forward.
Step 5: Add Your Business Details
Add your business details. Once everything looks right, click Next.
Step 6: Create Your WhatsApp Business Account
Choose Create WhatsApp Business Account.
Step 7: Confirm
Click Next.
Step 8: Save
Click Save.
Step 9: Finish Setup
Click Finish. Your WhatsApp Business Account is now connected to FEA Create and you are all set to move on.
Phone Number Verification
Step 10: Add Your Phone Number
Click Add Phone Number.
Step 11: Choose How to Verify
You can verify your number in a way that feels easiest for you:
• SMS. You will receive a code which appears in your Conversations tab.
• Phone Call. The code will be read out to you.
Step 12: Enter the 6-Digit Code
Add the code you received.
Step 13: Complete
Your WhatsApp number is now verified and ready to use. You can start chatting with ease inside FEA Create.
Important Notes
Once a phone number is moved to the WhatsApp Business Platform, it cannot be used in the WhatsApp Business mobile app at the same time. It can only live on one platform.
For this method, WhatsApp requires a brand new number that has never been used on WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business.
Method 2: Connect Your Existing WhatsApp Business App
Step 1: Start the Setup
Go to Settings > WhatsApp and choose to connect an existing WhatsApp Business App.
Step 2: Prepare to Link Accounts
To link your accounts, you will need:
A Facebook Page for your business.
The WhatsApp Business App installed on your phone.
The latest versions of the mobile apps.
You can link your accounts from within the WhatsApp Business App.
Open the WhatsApp Business App.
On Android, tap More options. On iPhone, tap Settings.
Tap Business tools > Facebook & Instagram.
Tap Facebook > Continue to open the Facebook login page.
Enter your Facebook login information and tap Log In.
Select the Facebook Page you want to link and tap Connect WhatsApp. If you don’t have a Facebook Page, you will have the option to create one.
A WhatsApp button will now appear on your Facebook Page.
Return to the WhatsApp Business App, where you will see your linked Facebook Page at the top of the Facebook & Instagram screen.
Step 3: Connect to LeadConnector
Click Get Started.
Step 4: Add Your Business Information
Enter the details requested.
Step 5: Choose Your Onboarding Type
Select Connect your existing WhatsApp Business App.
Step 6: Confirm Connection
Share access to your existing WhatsApp Business App with LeadConnector. You can continue using the app as normal.
Step 7: Add Your WhatsApp Number
Enter the number you want to connect.
Step 8: Check Your Details
Give everything a quick check to be sure it looks right before moving on.
Step 9: Bring Over Contacts and Chats
You can import contacts and up to six months of chat history. Make sure your WhatsApp Business App is updated to the latest version. Look for the message from Facebook’s official business account and scan the QR code.
Step 10: Connect
Scan the QR code to finish.
Step 11: Syncing
Your contacts and chats will sync securely with FEA Create so everything stays together for you.
Step 12: Finished!
Your WhatsApp Business App is now connected.
Things to Know
Template messages can only be sent inside FEA Create.
Your WhatsApp profile settings are still managed inside the WhatsApp Business App.
You can only have one phone number connected in this coexistence setup.
