How to Integrate Shopify with FEA Create

Connect your Shopify store to FEA Create to automatically sync customers, orders, and products, so you can save time and run your marketing more efficiently.

Shopify has recently changed how integrations work, which means the old “copy and paste API key” method is no longer available.

The good news is you can still connect Shopify to FEA Create. The recommended method now uses webhooks, which send information directly from Shopify into your FEA Create automations.

Before you start

Webhooks are available on Shopify Grow, Advanced and Plus plans.

On the Basic Shopify plan, Shopify limits the data that can be shared through webhooks, which may prevent customer or order details from syncing fully into FEA Create.

Step 1: Create your inbound webhook in FEA Create

Start in FEA Create:

Step 1. Go to Automations → Workflows

Step 2. Click Create Workflow

Step 3. Choose the trigger Inbound Webhook

Step 4. FEA Create will generate a unique webhook URL for you

Step 5. Copy this URL, you will use it in Shopify

This webhook is the connection point where Shopify will send data into FEA Create.

Step 2: Create a webhook in Shopify

Now move into Shopify:

Step 1. Go to Settings

Step 2. Open Notifications or Webhooks (this may vary slightly depending on your Shopify version)

Step 3. Click Create webhook

Step 4. Choose the event you want to track, for example:

  • Order created

  • Order paid

  • Customer created

Step 5. Paste in the webhook URL from FEA Create

Step 6. Save

Once saved, Shopify will automatically send data to FEA Create whenever that event happens.

Step 3: Map what happens in FEA Create

Once Shopify sends data into your workflow, you can decide what FEA Create should do with it.

Common actions include:

  • Add or update a contact

  • Add a tag (for example “Shopify Customer”)

  • Create an opportunity in your pipeline

  • Trigger an email or SMS workflow

  • Enrol the contact into a journey or automation

Step 4: Test your connection

To make sure everything is working:

Step 1. Trigger a test event in Shopify (for example, place a test order)

Step 2. Check your FEA Create workflow to confirm the data has arrived

Step 3. Confirm the contact and automation actions have run correctly

Important things to know

Shopify plan limitations

  • This is only available on Grow, Advanced and Plus plans to send full customer and order data

This is a Shopify limitation and not something controlled by FEA Create.

When you might need extra help

In some cases, Shopify settings can vary depending on your store setup.

If you’re unsure, you can:

  • Use Shopify’s AI help assistant to locate webhook settings

  • Ask Shopify support to help confirm the correct event trigger

  • Work with a developer if you want more advanced or custom data mapping

Summary

Shopify now connects to FEA Create using webhooks instead of API keys.

The flow looks like this:

Shopify event → Webhook → FEA Create workflow → Automations

Once set up, this runs automatically in the background and keeps your Shopify and FEA Create data in sync.
