How to Integrate Xero with FEA Create

Updated this week

The Xero integration in FEA Create makes it easier to keep your contacts, invoices, and taxes in sync so you can focus on running your business rather than managing data.

What the Integration Does

Contact Sync
All existing and new contacts in Xero will automatically sync with your FEA Create account. This happens both when you first connect Xero and on an ongoing basis. If a contact in Xero doesn’t have a first or last name saved, the contact name will be used instead. If a matching contact already exists in FEA Create with the same email or phone number, those details will be updated with the information from Xero.

Invoices (One-Way Sync)
When you create an invoice in FEA Create, it will instantly appear in Xero. This includes details like the invoice number, customer name, taxes, and real-time payment status.

Tax Mapping
You can match your tax rates in FEA Create with those in Xero. This even works with multi-component taxes, so your reports stay accurate and compliant.

Accounts Visibility
Only accounts with payments enabled (excluding bank accounts) are available for syncing with FEA Create.

How to Connect Xero to FEA Create

Step 1: Go to Settings

Log into your FEA Create account and open the sub-account where you’d like to connect Xero.
Go to Settings → Integrations → Xero → Manage.

Step 2: Sign In

A new window will open. Click Connect then enter your Xero login credentials.

Step 3: Connect Your Organisation

Select your Xero organisation and choose a chart of accounts.

Tip: If your chart of accounts doesn’t appear, make sure payments are enabled in your Xero Chart of Accounts settings. You can also click the “Unable to find?” option for guidance.

Step 4: Map Your Taxes

Match your FEA Create tax rates with those in Xero. Only rates that match can be mapped to one another.

That’s it! Your integration is now set up.

What Happens If Something Goes Wrong?

  • If there’s no activity for 60 days, the integration will automatically disconnect. You’ll get an email to let you know.

  • If an invoice fails to sync, you’ll also receive an email alert so you can take action.
