How to Create a WhatsApp Template in FEA Create

Updated over 2 weeks ago

WhatsApp is an additional add on that costs $29.99 a month. More information can be found here.

WhatsApp templates are messages you set up in advance. You need them to start sending messages to your contacts. You can make different templates for different purposes, like promotions or service updates.

Step 1: Go to Template Settings

  1. From your FEA Create account, go to Settings → WhatsApp → Template.

  2. Click + Create Template.

WhatsApp now lets you send images, videos, documents, and even location in your templates using Media Templates.

Step 2: Fill in Template Details

Here’s what you need to add:

  • Template Name: Use only lowercase letters with no spaces.

  • Category: Pick one

    • Marketing: For promotions and offers

    • Utility: For service updates or important info

  • Language: Choose the language for your message

  • Header (Optional): You can add a title or include one custom placeholder, like {{1}}

Step 3: Add Body and Footer

  • Body: This is your main message. Click Add Variable if you want to include placeholders like {{1}}, {{2}}.

  • Footer (Optional): A small message at the bottom, like a signature or reminder

Important: For each placeholder you add, include a sample value. Meta needs examples to review and approve your template.

Step 4: Review & Submit

Check your template carefully. When you’re ready, click Create. FEA Create will send your template to Meta for approval.

Step 5: Track Your Template

After submitting, you can see the status in the Template Tab:

  • Pending: Waiting for Meta to approve

  • Approved: Ready to use

  • Rejected: Needs changes before you can send it

How to Clone a WhatsApp Template

Cloning saves you time because you don’t need to start from scratch. All your variables, buttons, and formatting stay the same.

  1. From your sub-account, click Settings.

  2. Click WhatsApp on the left, then Templates at the top.

Step 2: Clone the Template

Find the template you want to copy. Click the 3-dot icon next to it, then choose Clone Template.

Step 3: Rename and Edit

A window will pop up. You can rename your new template and make any edits. When you’re done, click Save. Your new template is ready to use.
