If your customers are receiving emails in Outlook that show as 'On behalf of...' instead of your business name, it can look unprofessional and be a bit confusing.
This usually happens because the email is being sent through a service that uses a different sending domain, which Outlook displays in the header. It is not a security issue and can be fixed with the right settings.
In Outlook, this issue might appear in the From field like this:
[email protected] on behalf of Your Name
Here’s how to fix it in FEA Create.
Step 1: Go to Email Settings
Log in to your FEA Create account.
Click Settings in the bottom left corner of your dashboard.
Select Email Services from the menu.
Step 2: Set Headers and Update Your 'From' Email
On the right-hand side, click Dedicated Domain and IP.
Click the three dots next to your dedicated domain and select Set Headers.
Enter your business name in the From Name field.
In the From Email field, instead of just using your regular email address, add the email subdomain. For example:
Save your changes.
Step 3: Update Your Reply and Forward Settings
Still in Email Services, look for the Reply Address field.
Enter your standard business email here (without the subdomain). For example:
Save your changes.
Step 4: Test Your Changes
Send a test email to yourself or a colleague and check how it appears in Outlook. You should now see it coming directly from your business name without the 'On behalf of' message.
Tip: It may take a short while for the changes to take effect, so if you still see the old message straight away, try again after some time.
