How to Set Up a Domain and Professional Email with GoDaddy

Updated this week

To use FEA Create, you'll need to connect a custom domain so you can publish your website. And if you want to send emails through FEA Create’s email marketing tools, you’ll also need a business email address linked to your domain.

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to:

  • Buy a domain through GoDaddy

  • Add a professional email package

  • Connect your domain and email to FEA Create using the automatic integration

By the end, you’ll be set up to run your website and email marketing from a branded, professional domain like yourbusiness.com and [email protected].

Step 1: Buy a Domain on GoDaddy

  1. Use the search bar on the homepage to find your preferred domain name.

  2. Click Add to Cart once you've found the one you want.

  3. GoDaddy will prompt you to add additional options. Click Continue to Cart.

  4. Review your cart and choose your preferred domain registration period (e.g. 1 year).

  5. Create or log in to your GoDaddy account.

  6. Complete your payment.

Step 2: Add a Professional Email Package

  1. After purchasing your domain, GoDaddy will usually offer to add email services.

  2. Choose Professional Email or Microsoft 365 Email (either will work).

  3. Select the package that suits your needs, then click Add to Cart.

  4. Continue to checkout and pay for the email package.

Once you've purchased the email service, GoDaddy will guide you through setting up your email address. For example, you might set up [email protected].

Step 3: Connect Your Domain to FEA Create

  1. Go to your FEA Create dashboard.

  2. Click Settings (in the bottom left corner).

  3. Go to Business Profile and make sure your email address (e.g. [email protected]) is saved here.

  4. Now go to Websites & Funnels then Domains.

  5. Click Connect a Domain.

  6. Choose Funnel/Website/Store/Blog/Webinar

  7. Enter your domain name (e.g. yourbusiness.com) and click Add.

  8. When prompted, click Continue, then Authorize Domain and log in to your GoDaddy account.

FEA Create will automatically add the required DNS records for you. Once that’s done, all you need to do is click Verify.

Step 4: Connect Your Email to FEA Create

To make sure emails you send from FEA Create look professional and reach your audience’s inbox (not spam), you’ll need to do two things:

  • Add your professional email address to your Business Profile

  • Connect a dedicated email domain like lc.yourbusiness.com in Email Services

Connect Your Dedicated Email Domain in Email Services

LeadConnector (the email system used by FEA Create) sends your emails through a special subdomain. This is why you’ll connect lc.yourbusiness.com instead of just yourbusiness.com.

  1. In FEA Create, go to Settings

  2. Click Email Services

  3. Select Create Dedicated Domain

  4. Enter lc.yourbusiness.com and click Add

FEA Create will automatically add the required DNS records for you via GoDaddy, but you may still need to add one extra record manually.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy account

  2. Open the DNS settings for your domain

  3. Add any remaining records that FEA Create shows as "Not Verified"

💡 Make sure your main email (like [email protected]) is already set up and working before doing this step.

Step 5: Final Checks and Verification

Once you've completed the setup, go back to Email Services in FEA Create and check your domain status.

It can take up to 48 hours for the records to propagate.

If any records still show as "Not Verified," after this time you'll need to add those manually in your GoDaddy DNS settings. Most of the time, FEA Create will handle this for you automatically.

Once everything shows as "Verified," you're all set to start sending emails from your business address through FEA Create.

That’s It!

You’ve now bought your domain, added a professional email, and connected everything to FEA Create. Your website and emails will look much more polished and professional.

If you don’t see your domain verified straight away, give it a few hours and check back. Once verified, you're good to go!
