How to Re-Subscribe Someone Who Signs Up for a Freebie

If someone previously unsubscribed from your emails but then signs up for one of your freebies, you can automatically re-subscribe them in your workflow so they receive your emails again.

Here’s how to set it up in FEA Create:

Step 1: Open Your Freebie Automation

  1. Go to the Automations tab inside FEA Create.

  2. Open the automation that’s triggered when someone signs up for your freebie. This is usually your lead gen nurture sequence.

Step 2: Add the DND Disable Action

  1. Find the step where the automation is triggered by Form Submitted.

  2. Click the plus (+) icon underneath that trigger to add a new action.

  3. In the search bar, type DND.

  4. Choose DND - Remove or Disable DND (this means "Do Not Disturb").

This action will remove the "do not contact" status from anyone who had previously unsubscribed, as long as they’ve opted in again by signing up for your freebie.

Step 3: Save Your Workflow

  1. After adding the DND disable action, click Save in the top right-hand corner.

  2. Now, when someone signs up for your freebie, they’ll automatically be re-subscribed and can receive your emails again.

This is a really handy step to include in any lead magnet or freebie automation to make sure no one misses your follow-up emails!
