Learn About UTM Tracking in FEA Create
UTM tracking helps you understand where your website traffic is coming from. It works by adding small bits of text to the end of your links. These are called UTM parameters, and they help track the performance of your email marketing.
What Is UTM Tracking?
In FEA Create, when you send email campaigns, UTM tracking is added to your links so you can see what’s working. Here are the default ones we support:
utm_source=email: Always included to show the traffic came from email.
utm_medium=email marketing: Describes the type of marketing. You can change this if you like.
utm_campaign=Campaign Name (Send Date): Optional. Helps you track the name and date of your campaign.
You can also add up to 5 more custom parameters if needed.
Best Practices
Don’t include personal info like names or email addresses.
Stick to the basics: Use source, medium and campaign to keep things simple.
Be consistent with capitalization: For example, always use "Email" or "email" but not both.
Use underscores instead of spaces (e.g. "spring_launch" instead of "spring launch").
