Setting up your legal pages is an important part of keeping your website compliant and building trust with the people who visit it. In this guide, you will learn how to create your Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions pages in FEA Create, how to use the templates that are alre
ady available and how to link these pages to the footer of your website or funnel.
Step 1. Link Your Legal Pages in the Footer
Most FEA Create templates already include Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions links in the footer. To link them, simply highlight the text in the footer. Click Add Link and paste the URL of your Privacy Policy page. You can choose for the page to open in a new window if you prefer.
You can do the same for your Terms and Conditions page. Highlight the wording, click Add Link and paste the correct URL. This works even if your legal pages are hosted on a different website platform.
Step 2. Create Your Legal Pages if You Don’t Already Have Them
If you do not have these pages built yet, you can create them in Websites & Funnels.
If you are using the FEA Beautiful High Converting Website template, you will already see a Privacy Policy page and a Terms and Conditions page ready to customise.
If you want to create them separately, start a new website, choose Start From Blank and name it something like Legal Pages. Create a new page for your Privacy Policy, then create another for your Terms and Conditions.
You can either create these pages from a blank canvas or import the ready-made pages from the FEA Beautiful High Converting Website template. Choose the website you want to import from, then select the page you wish to pull in.
Step 3. Connect Your Pages to a Domain
Go to Settings and connect your pages to either your main domain or a subdomain. You can add your favicon and any head tracking code if you need to.
Once connected, open each page and start adding your content. If your website is built on FEA Create, you may want to keep your navigation menu. If your main website is hosted elsewhere, you can delete the menu items and simply add a link back to your main homepage.
Step 4. Add Your Privacy Policy and Terms Content
Replace the placeholder text with your own wording. Your Privacy Policy explains how you collect and use data. Your Terms and Conditions outline the rules for using your website or services. Requirements can vary depending on your location, so you may want to consult a legal professional or use a trusted template.
When you are happy, save and publish. You will see the URL for each page at the top.
Step 5. Add the Links to Your Website or Funnel
Return to your website or funnel. Highlight the Privacy Policy text in your footer, click Add Link and paste the page URL. Repeat for your Terms and Conditions page. You can also update your business name in the footer.
Once saved, preview your page. When you scroll to the footer, your visitors will be able to click on your Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions links and open the correct pages.
Step 6. Keep Everything Updated
As your business grows, revisit your Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions to make sure they always reflect your current practices.
If you need extra support with legal topics, members can access masterclasses inside the FEA Members Club that offer more guidance.
Your website is now set up with clear and accessible legal pages that support transparency and GDPR compliance.
