Users can set their passwords, benefit from user-specific Magic Links, and experience a streamlined login process.
Flexibility in Password Management
User-defined passwords: Users can set their passwords from the loginUrl. Passwords will no longer be automatically generated.
Magic Links: User-specific Magic Links will be sent across all course emails and triggers, allowing users to set their passwords seamlessly.
Set Password Page Redirection: If users attempt to log in without setting their password, they will be redirected to the Set Password page.
How it Works
Sending the Initial Email
The system will automatically send the initial email when an offer is granted or a purchase is completed, depending on how you've set it up.
If the default template has been enabled within the Membership Settings, the email will include a link for login access.
If you have created a custom email, ensure that the Login URL custom field is included.
If you have created an automation for sending the initial email, make sure that the loginUrl is included in the template or plain text editor.
๐๐Users will need this link to set their passwords๐๐.
Setting the Password
If users attempt to log in without setting their password, they will be redirected to the Set Password page.
Forget Password Flow
Users will receive a reset link allowing them to set their own password within two hours of their request.
Users will be automatically logged in following the reset of their password.
Manually sending a Magic Link
You can manually send a magic link to users if, for example, they have deleted their email.
To do this head to Create your offer > Client portal > Dashboard.
Click Generate next to Generate magic link.
Type in the Contact's name or email.
Tick Send Email then Generate & Send.
๐ Important Notes on the Feature
Removal of Password Custom Field: The password custom field will no longer be visible in any template builders or workflow email options.
