How to Set Up the Chat Widget for Your Website
Adding a chat widget to your FEA Create website is a great way for visitors to get in touch with you quickly. You can set up live chat, email chat, or SMS (if you have this set up).
Step 1: Access the Chat Widget
Go to Websites & Funnels, then select Chat Widget. Click New to start creating your chat widget.
Step 2: Choose Your Chat Type
Select the type of chat you want to offer. For most users, Live Chat is the simplest option. If you have SMS or email configured, you can enable those too.
WhatsApp and voice AI are separate options and will incur extra costs.
Step 3: Customize the Widget
You can fully customize how your chat widget looks and functions. Adjust the style, theme, icons, and the welcome message or custom greeting. You can also set what information you want to collect, such as email addresses, using the contact form.
Step 4: Business Hours and Availability
Set your business hours so visitors know when you're available. If you're offline, you can display a message that the chat is closed.
Step 5: Additional Options
Make sure the consent checkbox is enabled for compliance. You can also enable ratings and acknowledgment messages for after the chat ends, and update the widget language if needed.
Step 6: Add the Chat Widget to Your Website
If your website is hosted outside FEA Create, copy the chat widget code and add it to the body section of your website.
If your website is on FEA Create, go to Websites & Funnels, select your website, click Settings, choose your chat widget, and then Save.
Once added, your chat widget will appear on your site, giving your visitors an easy way to reach you.
