How to Add an Unsubscribe Link to Your Emails in FEA Create

If you’re sending out emails using FEA Create, it’s important to include an unsubscribe link so people can choose to stop receiving your emails if they wish. Here’s how to easily add one.

Why It’s Important to Include an Unsubscribe Link

Including an unsubscribe link in your emails is not just best practice, it’s essential. It ensures you’re respecting your subscribers’ choices and helps you stay compliant with email laws.

Without an unsubscribe option, people may mark your emails as spam, which can damage your email deliverability and reputation. By giving your subscribers a clear and easy way to opt out, you’re building trust and maintaining a healthy, engaged email list.

Step 1: Use an FEA Create Email Template

The quickest way to get started is to use one of the built-in FEA Create templates. These already include an unsubscribe link in the footer.

Step 2: Edit the Footer Text

Go to the footer section of your email. You’ll see some default text that says something like Unsubscribe from this list.

Click on the text and then click Link Text. You’ll notice that a special value is already added. You can change the wording if you like, but the link will still work.

Step 3: Adding an Unsubscribe Link Manually

If you’re designing your email from scratch, you can add the link yourself:

  • Highlight the text you want to turn into an unsubscribe link (e.g. Click here to unsubscribe)

  • Click Custom Values

  • Scroll down to the Email section and choose Unsubscribe Link

This will automatically add the correct link for unsubscribing.

Step 4: Save Your Changes

Once you've added the unsubscribe link, make sure to save your email so the changes apply.

That’s it. You’ve now added an unsubscribe link to your email. This helps you follow email rules and makes sure your subscribers have control over what they receive.
