Keeping your audience connected with your latest blog posts is key to building trust and growing your business. But remembering to send an email every time you publish can be tricky.
That’s where using your blog’s RSS feed comes in. It helps you automate this process by sending out emails automatically whenever you publish something new. This way, your readers never miss your fresh content, and you save time so you can focus on what you love doing most.
If you want to send out an email to your audience when you publish a new blog post, you can do this by using your blog’s RSS feed in FEA Create. Here's how to set this up step-by-step.
Step 1: Find Your RSS Feed Link
Go to Websites & Funnels and then Blogs.
Click on the Settings button (the little cog icon on the right).
Click on the RSS tab.
Click Add RSS Feed.
Give your feed a name (this is just for you, something like "My Blog").
Select the blog you want to use.
Set how many posts you want to show in the feed. We recommend not ticking Load Full Content as this can slow things down.
Click Add.
You’ll now see your RSS feed link. Keep this page open as you’ll need the link shortly.
Step 2: Set Up Your Email to Send When You Publish a New Blog Post
Go to Social Media & Email then Email.
Click + New Email.
Choose one of your existing email templates to start from.
Inside the email editor:
On the left-hand side, you’ll see options for RSS Header and RSS Items.
RSS Header is to highlight your latest post.
RSS Items will list the other posts on your blog.
You can customise fonts, padding and colours if you like.
Click Send or Schedule to continue.
Step 3: Set Up the RSS Schedule
Click on the RSS Schedule option.
Paste in the RSS feed URL you copied earlier.
Set how often you want FEA Create to check for new posts (daily or weekly).
Important: It will only send an email if there is a new blog post. If nothing is new, it won’t send.
You can also choose to skip certain days, like weekends.
Once you’re happy:
Add your subject line (something simple like “A new blog post from me!”)
Set your sender email.
Choose who the email goes to. You can pick a smart list or your newsletter audience.
Review your email.
Schedule it.
That’s it. Your email will now go out whenever you publish a new blog post.
