How Do I Fix www errors on my website?

Sometimes you will need to add an additional DNS record for the www version of your website

Updated over a week ago

When you add a domain to FEA Create, the system usually creates a redirect for the www. version automatically. This means that visitors can reach your site whether they type in yourwebsite.com or www.yourwebsite.com.

If you’re seeing errors with the www. version of your site, here’s how to fix it.

Step 1: Check if the www. domain has been added

Go to Settings > Domains & URL Redirects in your FEA Create account and check that both versions of your domain are listed:

  • yourwebsite.com

If the www. version isn’t listed, click Add Domain, type www.yourwebsite.com, and follow the steps to connect it.

You need to add a CNAME record to your DNS records.

Step 2: Add a manual redirect in FEA Create

If the www. version has been added but isn’t redirecting properly, you can create a redirect yourself.

  1. Go to Settings > Domains & URL Redirects.

  2. Select URL Redirects at the top

  3. Click Add Redirect.

  4. Set it up like this:

    • Redirect From: www.yourwebsite.com

    • Redirect Type: All

    • Redirect To: yourwebsite.com

  5. Click Save.

Now, anyone who types in the www. version will be redirected to your main domain.

Step 3: Check your DNS records

If the redirect still doesn’t work, the issue might be with your DNS settings at your domain registrar (such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace, or Wix).

  • You should have a DNS record that looks like this:

Once you’ve made these updates, allow some time for DNS changes to fully update across the internet (this can take up to 24–48 hours in some cases). Clearing your browser cache or testing in a private/incognito window can also help you see the changes sooner.

After this, your visitors will be able to access your site smoothly whether they type in the www. version or not.
