How Do I Use the Sections, Rows, and Columns in the Page Builder?

The visual builder uses a combination of sections, rows, and columns to set the structure of your page.

Updated over a week ago

FEA Create uses a block editor which means you can organize your sections, rows, and columns. This will help you not only organize your content easily for your viewers but also give you a beautiful design and flow to your website.

Here is how to use rows, columns, and sections in the FEA Create Visual Builder. The Visual Builder provides a block editor interface that allows you to create and design different layout aspects on your web pages. Let's dive into the functionalities and options available.

Step 1: Add a Section

Start by clicking the plus icon where it says Add Elements. Then click Sections.

Sections are the main blocks on your page. You might have a section for your About Me, another for your testimonials and another for your Buy Now button.

We usually recommend choosing a Full Width section to give you the most space to work with. Simply click and drag it onto your page.

Once your section is added, you'll see settings appear on the right-hand side. One option is "Allow rows to take entire width". Turn this on if you want your content to stretch across the full page.

Step 2: Add a Row

Next, click the plus icon again and select Rows.

Rows sit inside your sections and let you organise your content horizontally.

You can choose a simple row with one column or go up to six columns. Once you've chosen your layout, click and drag the row into your section.

Step 3: Add Columns

Each row is automatically made up of columns. These help you split your content vertically. For example, in a row with two columns, you could put text on the left and an image on the right.

When you click on a column, you'll see options on the right where you can:

  • Change the background colour

  • Adjust padding and spacing

  • Align your content

This gives you flexibility to design your page just the way you want it.

Step 4: Add Your Content

Now you're ready to add your content! Click the plus icon to add elements like text, buttons, videos or images inside your columns.

As you move your mouse over the page:

  • Green highlights a section

  • Blue highlights a row

  • Purple highlights a column

  • Orange highlights an element (like text or an image)

These colour cues help you keep track of what you're editing.

Tip: Keep it Simple

You don’t need to use lots of columns or complicated layouts. Start simple and build up as you go. Sections, Rows and Columns are there to help you create a clear, easy-to-follow page that looks great and works well for your audience.
